  5. Director’s review Ed, I would like to ask you to organize a Director's Review of the SuperNuMI project. The current thinking is that given the scope of this effort (several x $10M, including a major MIRF upgrade) it will be best handled by executing as a Major Item of Equipment (MIE) Project. The scope of the review should encompass the complete set of upgrades required to move the intensity on target to 1 MW or greater. This should include both the accelerator and target station modifications required, and all project documentation required to establish a CD-1 style baseline range. In order to initiate funding in FY2009 we need to be conducting this review in the October-November timeframe. My assumption is that AD can be ready for such a review by October, so Roger or Alberto should let us know asap if this is not the case. At this time I would like to try to identify tentative dates for the review. Could you please let us know what dates are consistent with your calendar in October and November. Once we have established dates we will start assembling a committee, writing the charge, agenda, etc. Thanks, Steve
