  2. Interphase Dark staining nuclear region Nucleolus C. Plant Cell Wall

  3. Prophase Chromosomes condense and become visible.

  4. Metaphase Chromosomes are lined up at the equator of the cell and are attached to spindles.

  5. Anaphase Chromatids separate, creating carbon copies

  6. Telophase Spindle disassembled, nuclear envelope reforms, cell plate forms (plant cells only)

  7. Daughter Cells Two identical cells have formed, which are about ½ the size of the original. These will continue to grow during interphase (G1).
