  2. The Field Services and Compliance Bureau Who We Are: 6 offices strategically located throughout the state. A field office is located within a 2 hour drive of any location in Iowa.

  3. The Field Services and Compliance Bureau Our Mission Helping industry and the public understand the Environmental Services Programs

  4. The Field Services and Compliance Bureau What we do: Conduct routine inspections at all facilities permitted by the Environmental Services Division Help individuals and businesses understand when to apply for a permit and how to meet permit requirements Respond to spills and handle complaints from the public

  5. The Field Services and Compliance Bureau The programs we cover: Air Quality, Solid Waste, Water Supply, Waste Water, Flood Plains, Dams, Underground Storage Tanks, Animal Feeding Operations, and Emergency Response.

  6. The Field Services and Compliance Bureau The staff: 90 people divided among the 6 field offices and central office support In the Field Office Air Quality Program: 6 FTE (Full Time Equivalent) dedicated to Title V Major 3 FTE dedicated to Minor Air

The Field Services and Compliance Bureau From July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013 113 Major, Title V Inspections 27 NESHAP Inspections 45 TV Voluntary SM Inspections 178 Minor Source Inspections 1095 Other Inspections, Including Fugitive dust 184 Open Burning Investigations 1410 Air Quality Assistance Meetings 133 Notices of Violation (NOV) issued 23 Referrals for enforcement
