  1. New Gardening Club £3 PER DAY • St John the Baptist is introducing a Grow your "OWN" project. Children will get a- hands on experience learning about gardening. They will feel a sense of great achievement through practical activities and watching their plants grow. This is a fantastic project with only a small number of places. See below for a list of some of the things we will be doing. Programme starts Monday 10th September for 7 or 14 wk places. • ITC Suit- Soil Structure and activities • Preparing Soil • Seasonal Planting • Grow your own competition! • Trip • Activities • Drawing Monday to Thursday : 3.30- 5 pm Fridays : 3.30- 4.30pm Yr 1 to 6 New Fashion and Textile Workshops • This term we are offering the opportunity for the yrs. 3-6 children to experience and learn about the fashion and textile industry. Children will be shown a variety of techniques such as how to dye, print and sew fabric. They will learn to illustrate, design and produce a final garment utilising the skills they have learnt throughout the programme. • The workshops will run for fourteen weeks. There is a maximum of 10 children per and class and there are two classes a week. Programme starts Tuesday 11thSeptember 2012. Arts & Crafts Arts and Craft club continues with lots more exciting mini projects. There are 12 places for each class so don’t miss out! The programme runs for the full term (14 wks) 3.30- 5pm. Dance and singing classes, led by Lady RighTeous and Cocoa. They are two very talented dancers and singers who were responsible for the fantastic St John the Baptist Day workshops. • Lady RighTeous and Cocoa teach a variety of dance styles from Soca, Afro beats, street and contemporary. • Classes start Thursday 13th September for 7 weeks. Monday- Gardening, Study Support or Free play Tuesday-Arts and Crafts or Fashion & Textiles Wednesday- Arts and Crafts, Gardening or Free play Thursday- Dance, Fashion & Textiles or Free play Friday- Singing (£1.50 3.30-4.30)
