Introduction • Just who is this lady that is going to have my child for 2 years? • Educational Background and Experience: • Degree in History from Southern CT State University • Masters Degree in Education from University of Bridgeport • Intern in K-8 school in Bridgeport • Student teaching in grades 1 and 2 in Madison (multiage) • Long-term substitute and special education paraprofessional in Old Saybrook • Grade 5 and 6 Integrated Day teacher here at Memorial since 2007

  3. Expectations • Homework will be 45 minutes to 1 hour average • Reading Log – Students are expected to read at least 2 hours per week • Increased emphasis on self editing, ORGANIZATION, and neatness in written work • Greater self-reliance – Planning and problem solving • Always using assignment books • Always prepared for class
