DoD Enterprise Competencies • Enterprise Perspective: • Broad point of view of the DoD mission • Understanding of individual or organizational responsibilities in relation to larger DoD strategic priorities • National Security Perspective: • Understands the roles of leaders in the development of national security and foreign policies; • military-civilian relations in the developed and less developed states; and • the role of the military in the shaping of war and peace. • Joint Perspective: • In-depth understanding of how the DoD operates • Understanding of how the Services, DoD components, stakeholders, inter-agency partners, and customers integrate toward mission accomplishment. • Applies joint doctrine when planning, coordinating, and communicating the organization’s policies and processes.
