  2. Enough with me, you, they, him, and her! • Pronouns are confusing enough • Not too difficult once you see how they work in sentences.

  3. How do pronoun antecedents work, anyway? • A pronoun takes the place of a specific noun you’ve already mentioned. • With the antecedent “That’s what the teachers want you to think”. • Without the antecedent – “That’s what we want you to think”.

  4. Give it a go! • Write down what you think the problem with the following antecedent and pronoun agreement is: • “It could have been more clear”.

  5. 1. When you get close to her, grab Snuffles by the collar and get her inside. 2. When the officer chased the burglar through the park he broke his ankle 3. Green’s second single sold more than her first single. Its lyrics about broccoli had the critics scratching their heads. 4. If it isn’t shipped on dry ice, the ice cream will melt.
