Continuity • Durative time signs • Indicate how long an activity continued • All night, most of the morning • Usually occur at end of activity description • Inflected verbs • Defined • modification of a word to express different grammatical categories such as tense, mood, voice, aspect, person, number, gender, and pronouns • Recurring • “Every” morning • Again and again • Continuous • “All” morning • Continuously

Continuity (cont.) • Accounting for mv’t • Show a natural beginning and end • See student workbook p. 119 • Move in -> move out, fly in -> fly out, start -> stop, arrive -> leave/left • May have signs in between first and second sign • *INCLUDE INFORMATION! • You went by bus to one place, you should also say that you got back from there (how)

  6. Grammar • TIME – TOPIC – COMMENT • A: ask about the weekend • B: response + time sign +part of day + person + activity + FINISH + next activity + feeling/opinion + (repeat for the next day of weekend) • Time sign = Past Friday • Part of day = all morning, all afternoon

Expressive Final • Talk about your weekend • Open with time/when • Who with • What the plan/event was • Where you go • Why • How travel • Planning/feelings • disruption • reaction/feeling – closure • Do not exceed 10 mins. • Groups of 1-3 • Due: 5/13 • Same video rules apply from unit 15 and 16 • USB or YouTube link emailed to rfabela@glendora.k12.ca.us • Videos will be considered late at 3:30 the day they are due and will lose one letter grade every class day late (per course syllabus)
