  2. What is online Cyber Bulling? • Some people may ask what cyber bulling is. Cyber Bulling is when someone is being harassed on over the internet my one or more persons.

  3. How does social networks have a role in Cyber bulling? • When someone is being cyber bullied that mean they are being verbally harassed over the internet. Cyber bullying takes place on social networks such as Facebook , Myspace , Twitter , Online chatting site, and so many more. • Cyber bulling consist of bothering a individual, or posting mean , rude, hateful, or disrespect this about them, and the main one is trying to embarrass them to make them feel bad.

  4. What is a “Bully”? • Bullying is a form of aggressivebehavior manifested by the use of force or coercion to affect others, particularly when the behavior is habitual and involves an imbalance of power. • Bullying goes way back , it been around for years, and sadly enough I don’t think it is not going anywhere. But what we can do a society is try and control the bullying subject.

  5. Going to far ? • Suicide is the third leading cause of death among young people, resulting in about 4,400 deaths per year, according to the CDC. For every suicide among young people, there are at least 100 suicide attempts. Over 14 percent of high school students have considered suicide, and almost 7 percent have attempted it. • Bully victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims, according to studies by Yale University.

  6. So now what. . . . • Cyber bulling is not going to stop in one day, and if we want to put a stop to this it is going to take all of us as a nation.

  7. What can we do ? • If you’re a teenager and you know someone that is a cyber bully, then you need to show them what it would be like if the roles where switched. Let them know how that person on the other side of the computer is feeling, show them it’s not okay to make some one feel horrible about them selves, or make someone afraid of you. • If your being bullied tell somebody, ANYBODY ! A friend , a co-worker, a teacher, a consoler, your best friend , a sibling , your spouse, any body that you think cares. Letting somebody know that your feelings are being hurt by something is the first step to not being the victim of cyber bulling.

  8. Are we really aware of bullying? • The word bull has kind of became a “buzz” word. • There’s a lot of students in our community that say “oh , your being a bully” or “bulling is bad”, but no one really know what that means or what to do about it. • We have to learn to talk about bullying but in a way students can relate to, which is why I am making this presentation!
