State • Amount Distance Ed (predominantly online courses) grew from 1995-96 to 2005-06: 808% • Average growth per year: 23%. • Percentage of total student headcount that was Distance Ed: 12%. • CA community colleges that reported having online certificates and/or degrees: 21 (19%).
