  3. The Calendar portlet can be found on most pages. Despite the context, the features are pretty much the same. The Calendar…

  4. Like any other portlet, when you click on it, it covers across the columns and becomes the dominant portlet. Taking a closer look

  5. Before you can start adding calendar entries (Events), you need to create mini-calendars that hold a group of similar events. Do First!!! Then this second!!! Adding an event

  6. Give your mini-calendar a name and SAVE!! Click here first….. Creating a mini-calendar

  7. Now, I have added three new mini-calendars that I can add events specific to those topics. We will see a good reason to do it this way in the couple of slides. Multiple mini-calendars

  8. Now you can hit this link!! Notice that the event adding feature is pretty straight forward. Remember to pick the mini-calendar you want this event to be a part of. Remember to Save! Adding a Calendar Event…Finally

  9. Now that you have several mini-calendars active, you can turn them on and off. Notice the change when Guest Speaker is unchecked. Controlling What Shows

  10. The Portal will have many other calendars that you can SUBSCRIBE to. They come from many different places, and you can even ‘share’ your calendars. Other Calendars

  11. When you click the ‘wrench’ for your calendar, a new tab shows up: Security. This is where you can make your Calendar ‘subscribable.’ Is that a word?? Creating a Subscription of Your Calendar
