SDDRF: Migration of Surveillance Data Exchange from X25 to IP • IP-SDE Working Team established under the SDDRF • Documents under preparation: • Functional Requirements • Security Requirements • Safety Requirements • QoS Requirements • Communication Interface Specifications (e.g. Protocols) • Implementation Planning

  4. SDDRF: Drafting of Detailed Requirements • Target: have all documents finalised in Q3 2006 • Finalised Requirements will be submitted for approval to the EUROCONTROL Surveillance & Communication Teams

  5. IP Implementation in RMCDE • Surveillance data distribution over IPv4 for WAN communication has been implemented • Validation tests have been planned in phases • Between RMCDEs only (in a mixed environment X25/IP) • Between RMCDEs with the use of a minimum underlying network infrastructure (IP routers, X25 switches) • Between RMCDEs with the use of actual network infrastructure (RAPNET) and IP routers • Between different environments (not only RMCDE)

  6. IP Implementation in the RMCDE • First two phases done successfully • Test programme planned to be completed Q4 2006 • IPv6 planned for implementation in 2008

  7. Multicast data distribution • IPv4 operational (at national level - Spain) • IPv6 planned for 2007/8 • International Multicast: 2010+ (PENS)
