  3. Question • Identify what you hope to find out • Things I want to know about • Things that interest me • You must state the problem in the form of a question • What if... • How would... • Why might...

  4. Hypothesis • Predict the answer to the problem • What do you think is going to happen? • What will the outcome be? • What do you think the answer will be?

  5. Procedure • List in order exactly what you will do to complete your project • List the supplies that you use • Describe what you are doing • Keep a written record of your observations and/or results • Add photos/drawings that help explain your project

  6. Results • Record what you have observed or measurements you have taken • Note any mistakes, unusual or unexpected observations • Add any other information that you observe • Graphs and charts help to show your data

  7. Conclusion • Describe what you have learned • It explains why your hypothesis is correct or incorrect • OR if you were unable to answer your original question
