  1. Montgomery Bus Boycott By:Briana M.

  2. Rosa Parks was arrested for refusing to give her seat to white people.

  3. Rosa didn’t give up her seat because she was tired of being treated differently.

  4. After Rosa’s arrest people were very angry and started to protest. They protested by forming large groups that had over 17,000 African Americans.

  5. When protesting was going in the wrong direction, the protesters decided to choose Dr. King to be their leader. They chose Dr. King because he had won many marches for freedom.

  6. Dr. King and protesters decided to boycott the buses. Taxi drivers who were abotionlists reduced their fares, for the boycotters. The boycott worked.

  7. Boycott means to not do or use or even not to eat. For example: Melissa and Michelle decided to boycott candy because candy gave them rotten teeth.

  8. If Rosa never would have given up her seat we never would have known Rosa for how courageous she was.

  9. The End
