Focus areas for my work Equity and Access for all students Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment (CIA) that supports 21st Century knowledge and skills Flexible Delivery System w/required “majors” in high school Early College, Dual Enrollment, Direct Credit, Graduation with HS diploma and Certificate or associates degree

Focus areas for my work Curriculum – 21st century Instruction – Engaging Culturally Responsive Student Centered Problem-based Special Education – transformation of services Flexible Legal Access in all buildings High School – transformation of services Flexible Majors Early College, dual enrollment, direct credit

Discuss programs at RUSD Curriculum Aligned w/State Standards Establishing resource adoption standards aligned with 21st century needs Instruction Continuous Progress (Elementary) Instructional Process (Secondary) Assessment NWEA – MAP (grades 3 – 10, 3 times per year/measures progress WKCE – Statewide (grades 3 – 10, 1 time per year/used to calculate NCLB requirements Proposed: The Collegiate Learning Assessment – online performance assessment for college readiness Leadership DWSIC Directing Principals Advisory REA/RUSD Partnership
