  8. Syön ja lähden työ • Where to? • Use the illative case (into somewhere) • If the word ends in an vowel – extend the vowel and add an “n” Eg. Savonlinnaan • If the word is short and ends in an vowel , add the letter ‘h’ and last vowel and ‘n’ • Eg. (työ+h+ön) • For longer words that end in 2 vowels or words that end in ’e’, add ‘seen’. EgLontooseen. • For words ending in a consonant, add ‘iin’ • Eg. Bostoniin
