  2. Needed from SM18: 35 "Standard MB Cold tests"

Needed from SM18: 15 Standard SSS (ARC and Special) Cold tests“ to qualify (or re-qualify) the SSS CMs. (NOTE: Another Cold test is necessary to qualify each SSS in its final configuration) NOTE: At SM18 a Test Bench need to be modifiedin order to be able to test the “Insertion Regions” magnets !

  4. Reparation and Test Planning on preparation (here for the first 20 repaired MB only) …anyway best guess is to have everything repaired and tested (MB and SSS) for END 2011

  5. (Proposed) target is to have: "Ready to use": 20 MDA + 20 MDB 6 MQA + 6 MQB + in stock: "Spares semiconductor wafer"for an "Equivalent Sector" ( 154 MB and 47 MQ) Needs: Tests at Block4 (in group of 4 diodes) for 28 Diodes → 7 Test Run + assembly & test some diodes with the new wafers (statistic check 10%) → 5 Test Run (20 diodes)

(Proposed) target is to have at least: 1 “DFBA equivalent” in CL spares (i.e. 613 kA; 126 kA; 52600 A) • Needs: • - Put back in operation the 2 HTS CL test facilities at SM18: • Test new spares (to be procured) 600 A CL • (at least 28 units of 600 A CL) • and any eventual CL extracted from the LHC.

  7. Needs summary: • Facilities: • - Modify one SM18 cold test bench in order to test the Triplets and Separation Dipoles spares • - Put back in service the 2 High Current Testing Facilities for CL at SM18 (13 and 6 kA) • Tests: • 35 Standard MB cold tests • 15 Standard ARC and Special SSS cold tests (only to qualify the CMs) • 12 “run test” (48 diodes) at Block 4 to refurbish a reasonable diodes spare stock • Test of 28 (minimum) 600 A CL in SM18 • Eventual (re-)test of spare Triplets and Separation Diodes (?)
