  1. How does my media product present certain social groups

  2. My movie is based off the Collector, which deals with a working class thief with a sympathetic background. It will hopefully appeal to people from that background

  3. Potential ways in which social class conflict can be created in my film is through the fact that the thief from the working class background is actually the hero of the story, and the monster is the middle-class owner of the house • Since the film is also shot in an old-fashioned, “Hitchcockian” style, it might appeal to a more older and nostalgic audience.

  4. Other themes that I burrowed from Hitchcock that could affect a particular type of social group was from the film “Shadow of a Doubt” which deals with a very ordinary, middle class family, visited by their uncle Charlie (man on the left) who everybody seems to love until his niece discovers what a monster he is. The same feeling of suburban, middle-class familiarity with a horrifying secret hidden beneath the surface was borrowed for my film, in hoping to affect people that come from that kind of background

  5. The film “Blue Velvet” also shares the same theme of hidden suburban horror (where you can see the protagonist has discovered a severed ear) and the character from my film is basically going through the same things that the character from “Blue Velvet” is going through.
