  1. Camarillo Community Church Retool Discipleship Team • Mission: • Build an ever-expanding community of fully devoted Christ followers. • Vision for the Next Three Years: • IGNITE spiritual passion, CONNECT families, and EQUIP disciples with God’s transformational truth.

  2. EQUIP Followers of ChristThrough Intentional Discipleship “Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

  3. Why “go and make disciples”? • To be a fully devoted follower of Christ (part of our church mission statement). • To teach, model, encourage, and be accountable.

  4. Our Current Strengths to “Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.” • Large group Sunday Morning • Mid-sized community groups • Small groups • Triads • Individual quiet time with God (SOAP) • What we need: • More mid-sized community class offerings for fellowship and practical in-depth Bible teaching. • More emphasis on intentional and natural get-togethers of 2-3 people (triad).

  5. Sunday Celebration Service Large Groups for Unity and Worship Mid-Sized Community Groups 15 to 50+ people for teaching and fellowship Small Groups of 5 to 15 people for spiritual formation Triads of 3 people meeting for accountability Individually – Personal time with God (SOAP)

  6. What are we changing? • Clarify the pathway, to grow in spiritual maturity to be more like Jesus. • What is the definition of a disciple? • What does a disciple look like? • Build on our strengths and strengthen our areas of need for discipleship paths.

  7. What is Our Strategy (Overall Plan)? • Fulfill all of the Great Commission: • Go AND make disciples. • Make people aware of the clear pathway on their journey to spiritual maturity. • Continue to strengthen the body of Christ at CCC: • Build on our focus on large groups, small groups and spending individual time with God in Scripture (SOAP). • Build up the body of mid-sized community groups. • Develop a strategy to encourage triad formation within our church community.
