Simple Worksheet for Understanding Life Cycle Environmental Impact of a Product Raw Material / Component / Product: ____________________________________________________ TIPS: To understand the life cycle environmental impact of any raw material / component / products, use the following flowchart. Start with the product and think what would happen in the earlier stages in terms of inputs and outputs. Fill in each circle with respective colors viz. RED FOR HIGH, BLACK FOR MEDIUM, & BLUE FOR LOW. Do this for each inputs and output for each stage of the product life cycles as well as the overall assessment of the environmental impact of each stage of product life cycle. ou do not need exact quantitative information, but can do this assessment qualitatively. Finally, at the bottom of the sheet, assess the overall environmental impact of the product life cycle based on your understanding of assessing the individual stages.
