  2. Mr. Héctor Cardona, President of CACSO announcedthatMarchwill be dedidatedtomeetingsthatwillhelptheOrganizingCommitteetackleimportantmatters of theirorganization. Thisproactiveactionis once more anexample of theworkthat CACSO isdoingtohelp COVER 2014. Among the meetings under the leadership of CACSO is the development of the program to collect the quotas that are stipulated in our regulations. Mr. Ricardo Alvarez who in Mayaguez 2010 was in charge of that area will be heading the meeting. Also the Judges and Officials (J & O) Department will be having another meeting to ensure that the representation of the neutrality of the games is put in full force and in compliance with all the rules and regulations needed to comply with such an important matter. In charge of the meeting will be from COVER, Mr. Artemio Valero, Head of the J& O Department and from CACSO Mr. Hector Figueroa and Mr. Salvador Ortiz, both representatives of the Mayaguez 2010 OC. And finally an audit of each working area will be done using as a guide the CACSO Evaluation and Supervision Instrument and the Plan of “Itos” develop by the OC. In charge of this exercise will be Mr. Keith Joseph, Ms. Carla Alonso and Mr. Carlos Cisneros. An upcoming activity will be in the Protocol area with Mr. Luis Cumba as the responsible to wrap-up the many details that are pending.

MEETING TO DEVELOP THE WORKING PLAN OF THE MEDICAL AND TECHNICAL COMMISSIONS FOR THE GAMES Mr. Héctor Cardona will be having a meetingwiththeleaders of the Medical and TechnicalCommissionstodevelop and validatetheirworking plan thatwill be use duringthe Games. Forthefirst time in our Games wewill be havingthe Medical and TechnicalCommissionsembedded in thework of COVER 2014. Also a group of specializedadvisorswill be availabletohelpthe CACSO Teamdo itsresponsabilitiesaccordingtothe plan. Thisgrouphavebeenworking as volunteersadvisors (Pro Bono) sincethebeginning of the COVER OrganizingCommittee. Mr. Cardona isveryhappytohavesuchcapableprofessionalsthatupgradeourapproachtoserviceourfriend of COVER 2014.

  4. CACSO AND COVER PREPARE TO HAVE AN UNPRESEDENTED GAMES • Mr. Héctor Cardona, CACSO Presidentannouncesthatthe Games of Veracruz 2014 are comingalong as plan. ThelatestisthatfinallyafterhisconversationswiththeGovernor of Veracruz the TV and theTechnologyissuesweresolved. • PROACTIVE CHEKCLIST IN THE COMMUNICATION AREA: • The TV isonboard • Theproposalenvisagestheintegration of the Host Broadcaster (HB), RTV, TVC sports and Tv one, toachievethecoverage more complete, efficient and economically viable, forming a pool (union of broadcasters). • MSL isonboardwithunpresendentedservices • MSL provides the full range of services required to stage world class sports events from timing and scoring through to Information Diffusion Systems that distribute the results to international media, news agencies, websites and TV graphics. It also includes Games Management systems, System Integration and Games Times Operations. • Pressservices • ThePresscorpwillhavetheHistorical and Result Book of CACSO as a referenceinstrument • (In thepastfourgames CACSO hadgiventhePresscorpthe Book writtenby Mr. Enrique Montesinos). Forthiseditionthe COVER OC and CACSO in a unifiedeffortproducedthebookas paperback and a digital version. Bothwill be availabletoallthe CACSO NOC’sMembers
