  3. The Proposition • King Polydectes Enslaves Danae • Offers Perseus his mother’s freedom • Perseus must retrieve the Head of Medusa Cartoon of Perseus accusing Polydectes of his intentions

  4. The Journey Begins • Perseusaccepts Polydectes proposition • Travels to find Medusa • Finds Medusa’s location from the Graeae • Aided by gods with weaponry and other necessities

  5. Medusa • Approaches Gorgons using a mirror • Removes Medusa’s head in her sleep • Escapes barely from winged Gorgons • Begins Journey home

  6. Andromeda • Stops through Aethiopia • Finds Princess Andromeda • Falls in love • Decides to rescue Andromeda

  7. Cetus • Called by Poseidon to terrorize town • Sea monster for whom Andromeda is left • Slew by Perseus • Head of Medusa

  8. Return Home • Takes home Andromeda to marry • Finds Danae in temple • Dictys • Perseuskills Polydectes and his subjects • Grants kingdom to Dictys
