  2. Why we chose this topic.. • Text book is important for the beginner. • Which text book they use is also important • Main 4 text books • NEW CROWN, NEW HORIZON, TOTAL ENGLISH, Sunshine

  3. The importance of the text book Their contents are almost same according to the teaching guidelines. However, character, topic, vocabulary etc.. are different.

  4. Let’s look at the features of 4 text books

  5. NEW CROWN • Abundant vocabulary : over 600 • Characters : from 6 country (USA , UK, India, Australia, Japan, China)

  6. NEWHORIZON • Starts from “Hello, my name is…”and then ABC…, Vocabulary, 123…, Month days, How to write your name THEN the book starts. • It has about 10 vocabularies in each part. • Not enough Listening parts? • The exercise is too long.

  7. Sunshine • Total Vocabularies: About 300 words • Merits Able to learn Classroom English has many writing activities Creative design • Demerits Do not have many listening parts Contents are little difficult for beginners Abundant vocabulary is less than other textbooks
