  2. High School Graduation Requirements • Must complete minimum of 217.5 units • Must pass all required courses • Must complete Algebra 1 (or equivalent) • Must pass computer competency • Must pass the CAHSEE • No unit loss in any required classes

High School GraduationMINIMUM COURSE REQUIREMENTS History 30 units (World History, US History, Gov, & Econ) English 40 units Math 30 units (Must include Algebra 1 or its equivalent) Science 20 units (including 1 year Life & 1 year Physical) Foreign Lang 10 units or Fine Art PE 20 units Health 2.5 units Electives 65 units TOTAL 217.5 UNITS

  4. 3 Requirements for 4-year Universities 1. Course Requirements • Must take the right college prep & honors classes 2. Scholarship Requirement • Must earn competitive grades • NO “D’s” or “F’s” 3. Test Requirements • Must take the appropriate college entrance exams • SAT Reasoning Test or ACT with Writing (required) • SAT Subject Tests *No longer required by UC’s but sometimes recommended *Still required by some Private Schools (check with individual campuses)

  30. What if I need help?? • Talk to your teachers • Talk to your counselor • Carefully review the Course List and the Honors Recommendation Paper.

  31. What if I change my mind after I turn in my card? You can come in and see your counselor at break, lunch or after school until MARCH 20thto make any schedule adjustments. You must bring in a note from your parents to change your schedule.

Registration Material Return Your registration materials are due to the Room 5 according to the following schedule: Tuesday, February 25: Paris and students without a World History Course Wednesday, February 26 : Bradburn, Fenstermaker Thursday, February 27: Abbott, Gordon, Schuelke Please turn in the following: 1) Completed Student Information Sheet 2) Completed BLUE Registration Card 3) Completed White Summer Card *Please write your RETURN DATE in the space provided on the opening letter to your parents (2nd page of your registration packet) and on the front cover of your Registration Envelope. TEACHERS, please post the date on the front board. *Remember to bring your transcript and grad status report with you to Room 5 for reference.
