  4. 2. Objectives of the Educational Module

  5. Interpretativa Conflicts and tensions in the international health conceptual model are related both with models of development as well as human rights. Basic foundations for achieving health equity. Within this framework, we will review theories of conflict and some strategies for their resolution. We will delve into the main international agreements and treaties that espouse development and human security as human rights. Argumentativa The above will allow for critical analysis and discussion regarding the manner in which tensions and conflicts are generated within and between States, their interests and different international actors, assessing their implications and impact on health. Proposicional The module ends with a proactive approach regarding how to intervene in tensions, crises, or conflicts in order to attain social justice and ensure health as a right.

  6. 4. Module Content UNIT I. From the theoretical to the conceptual(Week 1- 2; 11 – 22 June).

  7. UNIT II. From an understanding of the problem to its critical analysis (Week 3. 25 - 29 June) * Two case studies will be analyzed according to the scheme proposed in the conceptual model

  8. Unit III. From critical analysis to proposals for intervention(Week 4 and 5. 1 - 13 July)

  9. Some considerations for the final product of the module Analytical document regarding the tensions and conflicts that exist as regards the country project. Guide for directing the analysis (Unit II) The case studies have been developed following these criteria (example) Should upload an electronic document via the VCPH (available under tasks) You should prepare a presentation to share with the other groups.
