EBTC is the only Centre fully dedicated to promoting European clean technologies in India • EBTC works complementarily with existing EU efforts in India. • EBTC provides tailored services ranging from market exploration to establishment in the Indian market. It provides, notably: • comprehensive market insight, • help overcoming market access issues, • inroads for entrants, • identifying projects and partners • advice on market entry strategy • business and technology incubation. • EBTC feeds into the EU-India policy dialogue, to the benefit of EU companies. • EBTC is the nodal point in India of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) • EBTC in short • 4 sectors: Biotech, Energy, Environment and Transport • 4 offices: New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata • 20 staff including 4 sector experts & IPR expert • 30 partners, based in Europe and India • 22 cooperation agreements between companies facilitated • 300+ delegates from 24 EU states, including via 12 Flagship missions and 9 Focus missions • 100+ project briefs on EBTC website

  23. Purpose The core purpose of the Centre is to: • Support EU SMEs to establish, develop and maintain commercial activities in the Chinese market • Support SMEs intermediaries in their effort to assist the SME members of their networks

Expertise and Services • The EU SME Centre has a multi-cultural team of 15 full-time staff members, including advisors and specialists. • Market Access Advisors and Specialists – advise and information • In addition there are Non-Key Experts – a large pool of freelance experts on hand to offer specific sector-related advice (mainly in Europe) • • Services include a) free, confidential information and advice b) practical support services
