  1. Welcome to italy Buonogiorno Ciccolato Fragola Limone Gelato Come Stai? Ciao Next Page

  2. WELCOME YEAR THREE’S. • Buongiorno. You have finally arrived in the continent of Europe. Welcome to Italia, the place I love to call home. My name is Federico and I own a fantastic gelato and pizza store, overlooking the Trevi Fountain, but unfortunately all of my gelato making staff have left to go to the beach today because it is so hot. I need you to help me make some italian gelato to sell in my shop. I would really appreciate the help. Next Page

  3. Year Three’s • Before you start this activity I want you to think about all the different kinds of activities that you do to keep cool. • On the next page I would like you to list some of these activities. Next Page

  4. Activities to keep me cool during summer

  5. Benissimo!!! Fantastico. • Now it is time to begin our ice cream making. I have spoken to your lovely teachers and they have placed all the ingredients in your classroom and on your group desk. All you will need to do is look at the instructions I have sent and follow the link. You must make sure you do exactly what the recipe says. At the end I will have to tell you the secret ingredient that makes my gelato the best in the world. You must also make sure you never tell anyone the recipe because it is my families secret. Next Page

  6. Few Remiders • There are a few things to remember. You are making the gelato in the cooking room so you need to be careful. You will not be using the stove. Once you are up to that stage you will either ask your teacher or a helper. The adult will do all the steps at the stove and you will just need to watch. • Year three’s you are all very lucky to have lots of computers and stoves in your cooking room. I am very grateful. 7. Few Tips • When you are cooking with others it is important to share and include everyone. That means that everyone in your groups contributes equally to the cooking. • Make sure you are caring to each other and listen to everyone’s ideas. • While you are cooking think of the different words that are said in Italian. For example the different gelato flavours. • GOOD LUCK!!!!!!! Next Page

Thank you so much for all your hard work. • The teachers and parent helpers will now put the gelato in the freezers. • What your teachers would like you to do now is go into Comic Life and create a conversation at my gelato shop.
