Baksan Underground Scintillation Telescope

BUST consists of 3180 liquid scintillationdetectors which cover entirely all four horizontal and four vertical layers of the installation.

Each detector has a threshold 8 MeV for coordinate measurements.

scintillation layer + concrete overlap: 7.2 r.l. = 165 gcm-2
