Background: In May of 1999, TXO installed new railcar loading racks required for fall protection by OSHA. The installation of these racks encroached on the required rail corridor clearance area of 22’ from top of rail and 8’6” from centerline of tracks.

Background: • In May of 1999, TXO installed new railcar loading racks required for fall protection by OSHA. • The installation of these racks encroached on the required rail corridor clearance area of 22’ from top of rail and 8’6” from centerline of tracks. • TXO requested and received a variance, with conditions attached, to the corridor clearance requirements. • The following slides are excerpts from the variance and the conditions stated within.
