Healthy People 2020 Online: Community Health Data Initiative Objective To help Americans understand health and health care system performance in their communities -- and to help spark and facilitate action to improve performance and value Approach Catalyze the advent of a continually evolving network of community health data suppliers and demanders who utilize the data to drive value creation and community improvement Stimulate this network with a major infusion of free, easily accessible HHS data and recruitment of early adopters (“innovators”) across an array of high-potential uses of the data Via the innovators, increase awareness of community performance, increase pressure on decision-makers to do something about it, and facilitate and inform action to improve performance
