Date Initiated Goal by 2015 Its goal by 2015 is • to develop rule-based, predictable, non discriminatory trading and fiancé system. • Address the needs for least developed countries and land locked countries. • Deal with debt problems though national and international motives. The global partnership for development was initiated in 2002.

Contributing agencies/groups Actions they have taken Contributing agencies are the world bank, (HIPC) heavily indebted poor countries, and (MDRI), multilateral dept relief initiatives. • HIPC - $76.4 billion committed to 36 countries • MDRI – further helps HIPC in gaining and committing money for developing countries in dept. Actions that the 8th millennium goal has taken. • Provide technology to under developed countries. • Economic development for landlocked developing countries (LLDC), least-developing countries (LDC), and small island developing states (SIDS). • Provides trade for developing countries (AFT).

  4. Progress • (IDA) international Development Association helped lower poor country debt • 76.4% of the world debt trough HIPC has been committed by June. • 54% of revenues were used for reducing poverty.
