  4. Established: Oct. 6, 2010

  5. Mission The mission of the Society of International Business and Development is to build and support relationships among students, alumni and private sector practitioners.  It also serves as a forum to promote advocacy and action in developing sustainable solutions to global problems.

  6. Objectives • Complement the academic curriculum of the MSGA program by hosting events targeted towards the academic needs and professional aspirations of the student body. • Provide networking and engagement opportunities among students, alumni, the Center for Global Affairs (CGA) faculty, staff, and practitioners. • Engage alumni and encourage active CGA community involvement. • Support and promote SIBD and MSGA brand, externally. • Enhance relationships with other NYU programs, the greater New York academic community, and external companies and organizations.

  17. International Case Competition • Who: Five team members (one alum allowed) • How: • Five resume’s, • One 500 word letter of intent, • 50 USD application fee and 1000 USD registration fee if accepted • Applications accepted on a rolling basis • Apply ASAP

Schedule • Submission Date: Friday, February 11th • Time Commitment: • Significant portion of time in February researching the issue, identifying an innovative solution, developing the case and developing the presentation (to be finalized and refined at the Regional event) • Estimate a significant portion of time during the last two weeks in February • If selected from the Regional event then also a significant portion of time the last two weeks in March
