  2. The SmallSteps4Life programme aims at getting families moving and to live happier, healthier lives in a way that is made fun for all. SmallSteps4Life is leading the healthy and active lifestyles strand of 'Get Set' - the London 2012 education programme. SmallSteps4Life will help motivate and instill enthusiasm into young people to undertake a new and positive lifestyle.

  3. Olympic Value Olympic values can be applied to education and to society as a whole, as well as to sport itself. A value that SmallSteps4Life supports is excellence. -Excellence – how to give the best of oneself, on the field of play or in life; taking part; and progressing according to one’s own objectives. SmallSteps4Life promotes the values of excellence by giving young people a chance to think about the values in their own lives, places of learning and local communities.

Have fun and FT = Fruit VG = Vegetable MT = Meat FH = Fish CG = Cereals & Grains DY = Dairy BP = Beans and Pulses Compare results with friends and... eat well!

  5. Getting Active There is evidence to suggest that exercise has a positive effect on certain biochemical’s that affect our mood and how we feel, and can help to improve memory and concentration. Exercise can sometimes be as effective as medication in treating anxiety or depression. To keep exercising less of a strenuous chore, try doing something relaxing, fun and maybe even time for a catch up with friends!
