  1. FSUE “R & P Corp. “Toriy”, Russia Low voltage multi-beam klystron amplifies with periodic permanent magnet focusing system with field reverses KIU-168 KU-399А ● The low cathode voltage (2-3 times lower as compared with single beam analogs), no isolating oil ●Compact low weightpermanent magnet focusing system, which is integral part of thedevice, no solenoid ● Highelectricalandthermalmargin of safety of the klystron output window. ●Operating in any spatial position ●Operating in the moving state

  2. RF driver Chemical Kinetics and Combustion, SB RAS, Russia ●Generator with synthesizer or amplifier ●Output pulse power up to 200W ●Average power up to 2W ●Pulse long up to 30 µs ●Two variants of RF source: with operating frequency 2450MHz and 2856 MHz ●Weight is not more 7 kg.

  3. Beam energy up to 16 MeV Average beam current up to 100 mA Weight is 1100 kg. Linear electron accelerator UEL-15-100D STC LUTs at D.V. Efremov Scientific Research Institute of Electrophysical Apparatus, Russia The klystron KIU-111 is used in this accelerator as an RF amplifier terminal stage with automatic control system tuning RF driver frequency to accelerating structure resonance frequency. Klystron is isolated from accelerating structure by circulator.

  4. A compact rugged 70 MeV race-track microtron World Physics Technologies Inc. USA ●Beam energy 15-70 MeV ●Beam current 5-10 mA ●Rare-earth end magnets ●Narrow rectangular biperiodic accelerating structure with RF quadrupole focusing • mobile source of bremsstrahlung radiation for search of buried explosive materials and narcotics; • production of isotopes for positron emission tomography; • cancer radiation therapy; • substance elemental analysis; • injector to synchrotrons and storage rings; • free electron laser driver; • nuclear physics research and other The klystron KIU-147A operating in self-oscillation mode without a precision RF generator, a circulator, frequency and temperature stabilization systems.

  5. Beam energy1.2 MeV Average power60 kW Accelerator wall-plug efficiency up to 40% A compact continuous wave electron accelerator Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics MSU, Russia with World Physics Technologies Inc. USA Radiation technologies in industry Two phased klystrons KU-399A operating in self-oscillation modewithout a precision RF generator, a circulator, frequency and temperature stabilization systems

  6. A compact light source MIRRORCLE-20 (6X) Photon Production Laboratory, Ltd., Japan • ●The classical microtron, which is used as an injector to the storage ring • ●Microtron beam energy 20 (6) MeV • ●Microtron beam current 100 mA • ●Storage ring diameter 30 cm The microtron is fed by pulsed KIU 111 klystron while for feeding a synchrotron cavity CW klystron KU-399 phased with microtron klystron is used.

  7. Prospective directions for development of the high power pulsed and CW MBKfor accelerators.

  8. MBK for feeding multi-section superconducting linear accelerators Output power is regulated within 9 – 15 kW by changing the beams current with constant cathode voltage. Klystron efficiency stays close to 70% when output RF power is varied from 15 to 9 kW and current is varied from 2.6 to 1.7 A. Cathode voltage 7 kV Cathode current 2.7 A Cathode current emission density less then 2 А/сm Klystron design is close to the design of KU-399, it has 18 beams and uses magnetic system and collector of KU-399 klystron.
