  3. Some Questions About God’s Providence Why did God create the human race? Why did God create humanity into a universe already heavily contaminated with sin? Why didn't God solve the SIN problem with the angels? Why did God create Adam and Eve perfect and then put Satan in the Garden?

  4. Some Questions About God’s Providence 5. If God really didn't want Adam and Eve to sin, why did God permit their access to the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil? 6. Why did God create the world in such a way that He would have to send His Son to redeem it? In other words, would “Plan B” have been necessary if “Plan A” had been perfect?

  10. God’s Eternal Purpose: To Create, Sustain, and Redeem Mankind. To create a universe in which to demonstrate His power and glory. To make a place for the habitation of mankind. To create a holy people to glorify Him. To sustain, bless, and redeem His children. To provide an institution for fellowship. To prepare an eternal home for the redeemed. To separate His children permanently from sin.

Ephesians 1:4-6 3. To create a holy people to glorify Him.

To sustain, bless, and redeem His children. “…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places...." Ephesians 1:15-20

To provide an institution for fellowship. “…to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord…” Ephesians 3:10-11

In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.“ John 14: 1-4

  17. The Scope and Aim of God’s Eternal Purpose: 7. Ultimately, to separate His children permanently from the influence of sin. “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:4 “And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” Revelation 20:10
