  5. Calculus I – Course Syllabus A Note: If any of you do not feel comfortable in Calculus I during the first two weeks of the semester (from August 28 to September 11), please meet with me as soon as possible to discuss the possibility of switching you back to Precalculus.

  6. Calculus I – Course Syllabus Grading Policy: (1) Homework and Classroom Assignments – 12% Online homework: (a) use FireFox! (b) class code: citadel 2976 3683 (c) a quick start for students (d) WebAssign help (2) Quizzes – 12% (3) Hour exams - 46% on Fridays September 19, October 11, November 1, and November 22 (4) Gateway Exam - 10% (5) Final exam - 20%

  7. Calculus I – Course Syllabus Grading Policy: Extra Points (1) Problem of Week – Two extra points will be added to the final exam score for each correct answer. (2) Math Lab Participation Point Program - You will earn 1 extra point to your homework total for every visit with at least 30 minutes in the Math Lab working on your MATH 131 homework or review but not exceed 5 points a week. You must sign in and sign out at the Math Lab on the sign-in sheet.

  8. Calculus I – Course Syllabus Grading Policy: (assume one passes the Gateway Exam) A = 90% or higher B = 80% - 89% C = 70% - 79% --- (qualify for Cal II) D = 60% - 69% F = 59% or lower
