  2. General Preventive Maintenance Inspections Proceedures • Always make a note of the settings of the unit before performing any test to make sure that unit is returned to the user exactly the way it was prior to testing

  3. Things to check during any maintenance procedure • Integrity of the unit • Chassis – check to make sure the unit is not physically damaged • Power cord • Check for cuts or breaks in insulation • Check for exposed wires • Check for dry rot • Check the strain relief

  4. Things to check during any maintenance procedure • Electrodes/Leads • Check for cuts or breaks in insulation • Check for exposed wires • Check for gel or paste build-up

  5. Things to check during any maintenance procedure • Transducers – make sure there are no signs of damage • Caster and brakes • Make sure the casters are free moving • Make sure the brakes lock and unlock as designed

Things to check during any maintenance procedure • Check any buttons, controls or knobs for damage and movement • Check any handles for damage or integrity • Check the hoses, tubes, fittings are connections for any sign of damage • Check the displays and indicators for damage • Check any doors or latches for proper operation

  7. Things to check during any maintenance procedure • Check any batteries or battery chargers for damage • If the unit is mounted, check the mount for strength and integrity • If the unit has a cart, check the integrity of the cart as well
