  1. AACe developed by the Vestfold rehabilitation service in co-operation with Falck Igel AACe for PC AACe for Micro-Rolltalk AACe for Light-Rolltalk – (or Compact-Rolltalk and Mini-Rolltalk) The Vestfold rehabilitation service on the programme: “The background to the programme is several years’ experience in supervising networks (parents, teachers, assistants, assisted living staff etc.). The target group is children and young people aged 6–18 with varying degrees of disability who have no or limited ability to speak. We also believe that the programme could be useful for other age groups. We have based the programme on printed communication books. The advantages of having a partly completed and standardised draft is that it can be put to use straight away. It can be expanded and adapted as needed, rather than having to start from scratch again.” How AACe works Selecting a symbol brings up new symbols within the selected topic. Selecting a symbol within a given topic creates a spoken message. In versions with a typing line the symbols are transferred to the typing line, and you can use them to construct sentences. (Objects/nouns = yellow, actions/verbs = red/orange, personal pronouns = blue, descriptions/adjectives and adverbs = green, short words and time indicators = white).
