  3. Improve student academic achievement through the use of technology in schools • Assist every student to become technologically literate by the end of 8th grade • Encourage effective technology integration with curriculum development and high quality professional development

  4. Allowable Activities

  5. Access • Increase access to technology, especially with high need schools • Enhance existing technology and acquire new technology to support student achievement • Enhance connectivity to support student achievement

  6. Tech Literacy for Students • Adapt and expand technology applications, including distance learning, to increase student achievement • Implement proven and effective technology integrated courses and curricula to help students reach challenging academic standards • Develop, enhance, or implement IT courses

  7. Professional Development • Support ongoing, sustained, high quality PD and focus on integrating advanced technologies to create new learning environments • Prepare one or more teachers as tech leaders to assist other teachers

  8. Community Involvement • Use technology to promote parental involvement and foster home-school communication about assignments, curriculum, and assessments.

  9. Program Evaluation • Use technology to collect, manage, and analyze data to inform and enhance teaching and school improvement • Implement enhanced performance measurement systems to determine effectiveness of your Ed Tech program

  10. Statewide Support from Centers

  11. Centers • Title IID competitive funds support a network of PD centers serving each region of the state • Visit NH Educators Online (NHEON) for information about the NH Local Educational Support Center Network (LESCN) • See Appendix C in application packet www.nheon.org/centers

  12. Funding Requirements

  13. Funding Requirements • 25% for professional development • Three year district technology plans • Annual school technology survey • Annual staff assessment survey • CIPA compliance • Non-public school notification

  16. Transferability & Flexibility

  17. Transferability • Districts can: • Transfer up to 50% between Title II-A, Title II-D, Title IV, and Title V-A • Transfer funds into but not out of Title I • Schools identified for improvement may only transfer up to 30% of their funds. • Schools in corrective action cannot use transferability provisions.
