  3. Response Time: Using your novel, provide an example and a brief explanation to how Walter Dean Myers (WDM) has allowed the reader to: 1) Connect with setting 2) How has WDM developed Elijah or Lizzy as a character?

  4. Voice A writer’s unique use of language that allows a reader to perceive a human personality in his or her writing. The elements of style that determine a writer’s voice include, but are not limited to sentence structure, diction, and tone. Viens Presents
