  3. Canada Canada , the second largest country in the world, is a federal country consisting of ten provinces and three territories. It is located in the north part of the American continent and extends from the Pacific Ocean in the west to the Atlantic Ocean in the east. Its only neighbour is the USA in the south and Alaska (USA) in the northwest.

  4. Ottawa – changing the guards OTTAWA (Ontario) the capital of Canada is a great place. It is home to a large number of national museums and government buildings . The Changing of the Guard on Parliament Hill, the seat of Canada’s national government, is a very popular sight. .

  5. Toronto - skyline TORONTO - the provincial capital of Ontario with 2.5 million inhabitants - is the largest city in Canada and the fifth most populated city in North America.. Toronto is one of the top financial centres in the world.  The CN Tower, Toronto‘s most remarkable landmark built in 1977, was for over 30 years the tallest free-standing land structure in the world at 553 metres (1,814 ft). You shouldn‘t miss the Royal Ontario Museum with world culture and natural history exhibitions. The Bata Shoe Museum shows many unique collections focused on footwear.

  6. Niagara Falls - Ontario Niagara Falls makes a natural border between the Canadian province , Ontario and the US state, New York. The waterfall is well-known not only because of its beauty but also as a huge source of hydroelectric power. This tourist area is a favourite with honeymooners and belongs on a list of preferred wedding destinations. It is one of the most romantic holiday resorts for everyone.

  7. Quebec City Quebec City, lying on the St. Lawrence River, is the capital of Canada‘s largest province, also called Quebec. This city is like a little France set in North America. It is one of the oldest cities in the region. The place is rich in culture and history. The Old City is surrounded by a stone wall that once protected the city from the British Navy. The word „quebec“ comes from Indian language and means „where the river narrows“.

  8. QuebecWinter Carnival Quebec Winter Carnival is the third largest festival in the world – just after the Carnival in Rio De Janeiro and Mardi Gras in New Orleans. It is held from February 1 to February 17. The most famous attraction is the Bonhomme parade. The huge snowman has been the carnival’s mascot since 1955. During the festival, there are numerous outside and inside activities e.g. skiing, snow rafting, ice sculptures, snow sled slides, visiting the Ice Palace and see fireworks shows.

  9. Montreal  Montreal (Quebec province) is the world’s second largest French-speaking city after Paris, France. This beautiful city has something for everyone – there are French boutiques to shop at, gourmet restaurants, historic architecture and modern skyscrapers, cultural programs and sporting events. Don‘t miss an ice-hockey match with the Montreal Canadians Team. Old Montreal offers many tourist attractions e.g. the Old Port or the Montreal Science Centre. Mount Royal - one of Montreal’s largest green spaces – consists of three parks in which to relax.

  10. ALBERTA nationalparks  The province of Alberta is famous for itsbeautiful landscape and a number of national parks – Jasper NP, Yoho NP, Kootenay NP and Banff NP. Banff National Park is the oldest Canadian NP (1885) and one of Canada’s most popular tourist destinations in western Canada, in Alberta’s Rocky Mountains. The town, also called Banff, is set in the middle of the mountains and it is a wonderful place to visit for tourists and a paradise for those interested in outdoor sports –skiing, hiking, biking and canoeing.   11. Vancouver – BritishColombia Vancouver – the largest city in western Canada - is an important business and financial centre. After Hollywood and New York it is the site of the third largest film production in North America. In 2010 the Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games took place here. Thanks to a mild climate and close proximity to the ocean, mountains, rivers and lakes, Vancouver is a popular destination for outdoor recreation. Stanley Park with its original Indian totems attracts visitors to relax and go to the ZOO or the Aquarium.
