The Holocaust. by:Brianna Morris and Michaela Morris. Warsaw Poland and its history during the holocaust. Warsaw's population was mostly Jewish, they had 350,000 Jews. In a Warsaw ghetto of 1943, all of the Jews smuggled guns into the ghetto and fired at their enemies.

  2. Warsaw Poland and its history during the holocaust • Warsaw's population was mostly Jewish, they had 350,000 Jews. • In a Warsaw ghetto of 1943, all of the Jews smuggled guns into the ghetto and fired at their enemies.

  3. The history of the Swastika • The symbol is over 3000 years old • It is from the Sanskrit Swastika • Before the Nazis used it represented life, sun, power, strength, and good luck. • For the Nazis it represented the German gymnast league

  4. Propaganda poster This poster shows a women dressed like a man from the Navy. She is trying to convince American men to join the navy to help win the war, because the women wants too. It was made by theU.S.A.

  5. Hideki Tojo • He was the leader of Japan. • In his journal he called WW2 the “Sino-Japanese war” • He says that Japan tried to keep the wars destruction from spreading, and to get peace between them and china. • All the other countries misunderstood their attitudes towards the war

  6. The Rape of Nanking • Iris Chang wrote this book. She wrote it because to let the world what happened. But the Japanese did not look into their consequences and decide what they should do about it.

  7. Barbed words of war • This poem was written by Tim Dyas • He compared the parachuting solders to mushrooms • The battle ended when a plane attacked the enemies

  8. National WW2 memorial • The memorial is located at Washington D.C at the Rainbow pool site. • The construction began in September 2001 and had ended on April 29th, 2001. • Its purpose is to honor the 16 million people who had served during WW2.
