  1. San Marcos Landfill 1595 Questhaven Rd. San Marcos, CA 92024 37-AA-0008 1 2 A public works crew was on-site and had excavated one of three down drains to be repaired for drainage and erosion control. The excavation was approximately three feet deep. No municipal solid waste had been encountered. Photo #1 was taken looking south. The next down drain to the west had been drained of standing water and would be next for excavation and repairs. Photo # 2 was taken looking northeast. San Marcos, CA 92024 37-AA-0008 3 4 The down drain on the lower western bench road leading to the western containment sump had come apart at a seam approximately 10 feet inside of the drain pipe. Photo #3 was taken looking west. The down drain along a western bench road near extraction well #50 contained eroded soil in the outlet portion of the down drain. San Marcos, CA 92024 37-AA-0008 5 6 The down drain piping north of extraction well #70 was partially filled with eroded soil down stream from the inlet pipe and up stream of the inlet pipe.
