  2. Introduction • What's that in your ear? Is it an earwig? Ha ha just kidding!

  3. What does the Earwig look like? • Earwigs have pinchers called cerci. They have them to eat their food. Earwigs are long and narrow. Earwigs have wings but they can’t fly. Earwigs have antennae. They are flat and dark brown.

  4. What is the Earwig’s habitat • Earwigs live in dark shady places. Earwigs live outdoors. They also live in basements, doors and lawn clippings.

  5. What does the Earwig eat and how does it hunt • Earwigs eat spiders and ants. They eat their own kind. They also eat fruit, leaves, and honey.

  6. All about earwig babies • Earwig’s mothers care for them. Their mother keeps them in a burrow. Their mothers keep them clean. Their mothers watch them until they hatch.

  7. Fun Facts • Earwigs got their name because long ago, people thought they went inside people’s ears…but, they don’t!
