  3. John 14:25-26 The Means for Learning Bible Doctrine – GAP.

  4. Verse 25, Jesus’ teaching ministry.

  5. “These Things” What He taught that night, answering the four questions and all of the doctrines He has taught them during His incarnation.

  6. “I have Spoken” – LALEOPerfect, Active, Indicative - completed past action where the results continue into the present. Doctrine endures forever.

  7. Jesus continues to use MENO of John 14:2 and 17 speaking of relationship verses a spiritual indwelling, emphasizing His three and a-half year ministry.

  8. Verse 25, “These things (doctrines) I have spoken (teachings during His incarnation), to you all (His disciples) while abiding with you (3 ½ year ministry).”

  9. Verse 26,“The means of learning and applying Bible Doctrine”.

  10. The HelperPARAKLETOS, “Called to one’s aid, an advocate, helper, or intercessor.”

  11. HAGIOS PNEUMAHoly SpiritIt emphatically attributes the quality of holiness to the third member of the Trinity. Holiness is an essence of God.

  12. “Father will send”PATER PEMPTOFuture, Active, Indicative.John 14:16, 24; 13:16, God the Father will dispatch His Spirit, just as He dispatched His Son.

  13. The Holy Spirit is also said to be sent by the Son.John 15:26

  14. “In My Name” - ONOMA, by the Authority of Jesus Christ.He is co-equal in sovereignty with the Father and Spirit.

  15. Even though Jesus is absent from the earth, He does not leave us as orphans, as He provides the ministry of the Holy Spirit for the intensified stage of the Angelic Conflict.

  16. The Holy Spirit has a ministry in three dispensations: the Age of Israel (Luke 11:13), the Age of the Church (Eph 5:18), and the Age of the Millennium.

  17. DIDASKO - Future, Active, Indicative, “will teach or instruct”. God the Holy Spirit’s teaching ministry is called the Grace Apparatus for Perception, (GAP).

  18. The Holy Spirit teaches the Mystery Doctrine of the Church Age to believers.John 16:12-15; 1 Cor 2:9-14; 1 John 2:27

  19. MIMNESKO - “to remind or cause to remember” by authority. The Spirit will not only teach us Bible doctrine but cause us to remember doctrine for application. PMA

  20. You don’t remember everything taught the first time, but through repetition and the Spirit it will finally take hold in the memory center of your soul and be applied to life.

  21. Verse 25, “These things (doctrines) I have spoken (teaching during His incarnation), to you all (His disciples) while abiding with you (3 ½ year ministry).”

  22. Verse 26, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name (all three members of the Trinity in view), He will teach (GAP) you all (the disciples) all things (Mystery Doctrine of the Church Age) and cause you to remember (launching pad of your soul) all that I taught you (during His incarnation).”
