  1. CMU Inputs for DARPA TECH 2007 Stephen F. Smith November 20 2006

  2. Task Analysis-Coordination “Concept of Operations” Demo • Basic Idea: Visual replay of a team of coordinators executing a joint plan/schedule • Integrate CMU multi-agent system with global visualizations of executing scenario to animate behavior and progress of overall multi-agent system • Integrate global view with (graphical) single agent execution traces to show micro-level dynamics

  3. Background: Interactive Analysis of Coordinator Systems Time Slider • Team of HCII MS students has worked with us this past semester to design tools for analysis and debugging Coordinator systems • Subset currently under development (to the extent that Year 2 effort and funding allows) Quality Graph Agent Timelines Log Visualization Method Lifecycle

  4. sending non-local option query to agent2... TO DO: - P1setup @ T20 - P1engage @ T30 Approach Execution Overview • Use core replay and analysis tools that CMU is developing to provide global animation of scenario execution 2. Synchronize with other complementary tools that are vailable (e.g., Lebo’s CTAEMS viewer/tracker) 3. Develop local agent visual. (e.g., using PDA emulator) to simultaneously show processing of one or more agents

  5. Requirements and Other Possibilities • Funds to support local PDA interface development and to integrate with external visualization tools (2 HCII MS students for 3 months for full scope) • Other Possibilities: • Integrate CMU agent system with an externally developed scenario execution visualization • Integrate CMU agent system with SRI game simulation environment

  6. A closer look at core target CMU analysis and debugging tools

  7. Agent Timelines History window of user’s actions

  8. Quality Graph shows accrued mission global quality over time

  9. Time Slider Synchronizes windows to show the same time range Looking at a slice in time Window’s time range synchronized with master time slider
