KNMA offers Online Painting Classes in Delhi during Lockdown Kiran Nadar Museum of Art is India’s first private art museum that is considered the best museum in Delhi and is also one of the most interesting places in Delhi. During the lockdown, KNMA is organizing online workshop sessions on its social media platforms where children and their families can explore art together through hands-on activities, gallery trails, and storytelling. The museum aspires to become an online and offline locus for such activities where parents can engage children after school sessions for educational yet fun-filled excursions. These workshops take place every Saturday and are among the most popular programs at the Museum’s online platforms. Parents and children from communities across India and beyond are encouraged to get involved in art-making through workshops on various art and craft techniques. Some of these techniques include Shadow Art, Kite Making, Photo Frames, Mask Making, Glass Painting, Paper Sculptures, and Fabric Collage among numerous others facilitated by the Museum Educators. KNMA has also been the best venue for attending painting classes in Delhi and during the lockdown, it has transcended into online space to provide the same experience. Considered as the best museum in Delhi and is also one of the most interesting places in Delhi KNMA workshops include interactive programs for kids of all ages to participate. Children are encouraged through the sessions to get an initiation into the world of art through stimulating conversations, performances, art-making, and demonstrations. Kids encounter and get introduced to the world through stories on art history and by seeing varied artworks ranging from historical to modern and contemporary art. Programs include various ways of looking at the artwork, through a sensorial inquiry where they are asked to describe the work of art and the effect that the works create. Another way of contemplating is through the imagination by making up characters, themes, and stories. Children engage in dialogues and sharing their views among their peers.
