Are You READY For Dual Credit Classes??? • In order to take dual credit coursework, a student must meet enrollment eligibility requirements. • Must submit Parent Consent Form • Complete Apply Texas application • Must take TSI test • Submit HS Transcript 2. High school dual credit students are considered to be collegestudents. Dual credit courses are college courses. Students must: • Know college vocabulary • Know and follow college policies & procedures • Meet college deadlines for registration & drops

Student Responsibilities Are You READY For Dual Enrollment Classes? • Students enrolled in dual credit courses are required to maintain regular and punctual attendance • Excused absences may still count against you • You are responsible to communicate with faculty members concerning any absence—in advance whenever possible. • Students enrolled in dual credit courses are required to complete all assigned work on time (most instructors do not accept late work or give extra credit). • Dropping a course is the responsibility of the student, and not taking the appropriate steps may result in a failing grade for the course.

  4. Withdrawing From A Course Are You READY For Dual Enrollment Classes? • Should it become necessary to drop a dual credit course, the student is required to submit a signed TSC Withdrawal form on or before the established deadline. • Withdrawal form can be obtained from the school counselor or at www.tsc.edu. School counselor must submit form. • Fall 2018 Withdrawal Deadline is November 16, 2018.

  5. Satisfactory Academic Progress • To avoid falling into probation under the SAP, students must: • Maintain 2.0 cumulative GPA • Complete 70% of the semester credit hours (SCH) attempted [15 SCH = (10)] [12 SCH = (8.7)] [ 9 SCH = (6)] • Financial Aid Office takes into account GPA, completion rate, AND Time frame of completion (Max. Semester Credit Hour)

  6. Student Academic Standing Good Standing: A student in Good Standing maintains at least a 2.0 overall Grade Point Average Academic Probation: Any student who drops below a 2.0 GPA at the end of the semester will fall into Academic Probation.

  7. Support Services • Library Services • Computer Labs • Tutoring Center Labs • Early Alert and Intervention Program • Disability Services *Students will be required to show a TSC ID to verify that they are Dual/ECHS students when using these services.
