  3. Travelling Arrangements • Please be at Harris Academy for no later than 7.45am on Sunday 9th September. The bus WILL be leaving at 8am. • The flight leaves Edinburgh at 12.00pm, arriving in Madrid at 4.00pm local time (flight time of 3 hours). • We are flying with EasyJet, flight number EZY6995. • Each young person has 1 piece of hold luggage which must not exceed 23kg and 1 small carry on bag. Please put all liquids into hold luggage. • We ask that you travel in the t-shirts we have made for the trip.

  4. Travelling Arrangements • On Thursday 13th September, our flight leaves Madrid at 4.35pm, arriving at Edinburgh at 6.30pm. • The flight number is EZY6996. • The coach will then take us back to Harris Academy, expected arrival time of around 8.30pm. • We will keep you updated via Twitter @HarrisAcTrips

  5. Non-UK Travellers • A List of Travellers Form is not required for EU citizens. • No Schengen visa is required for Non-EU travellers for a period of less than 90 days.

  6. Itinerary – Sunday 9th • Meet at school to get coach to airport • Fly to Madrid • Coach transfer to hotel • Evening buffet meal

  7. Itinerary – Monday 10th • Breakfast at the hotel • Language lesson • Lunch in town • Guided Tour • Flamenco Lesson • Shopping • Evening Buffet Meal

  8. Itinerary – Tuesday 11th • Breakfast at hotel • Prado Museum • Lunch in town • Retiro Park • Bernabeu Stadium Tour • Dinner at Hard Rock Café

  9. Itinerary – Wednesday 12th • Breakfast at the hotel • Warner Brothers Theme Park • Tapas Evening Meal

  10. Itinerary – Thursday 13th • Breakfast at hotel • Final opportunity for exploration or shopping • Coach to airport • Travel back to Scotland

Kitlist • Backpack (both suitable for travelling hand luggage and walking around Madrid/taking to activities) • A purse or wallet for carrying money • Comfortable footwear for walking (we will be doing a walking tour of the city) • Sun Cream (recommended no less than factor 30) • After sun Lotion • Insect repellent/bite cream

  12. Kitlist • Wash bag/toilet bag • Toothbrush and toothpaste (recommended travel size) • Shampoo and Body Wash (recommended travel size) • Towel (hotel does provide these but recommended to bring an additional)

  13. Kitlist • A Jumper/Hoody (in case of cool evenings) • Shorts/leggings (recommended knee-length) • T-shirts (recommended to cover shoulders) • Underwear • Suitable night/sleepwear

  14. Kitlist • A sun hat • Sunglasses • A water bottle (which can be refilled) • Any required medication • Money (recommended both GBP and EUR)

  15. Will I need to bring money? YES • Lunch every day. • Souvenirs. • Extra snacks or drinks while in Madrid. You will be responsible for your own money

  16. Groups • Young people are grouped into teams of 8, with one staff member as their Group Leader. • This is to ensure safety when travelling and taking part in activities. • We have done our best to ensure that each young person is in a group with at least one person they requested. • Please see Miss McEwan for further information.

  17. Accommodation Arrangements • We will be staying at the Hotel Mediodia in the centre of Madrid. • Rooming arrangements cannot be confirmed until we have arrived, however, young people will be sharing rooms of either 3 or 4. • We have done our best to ensure each person is sharing a room with at least one person they have requested. • We will share these with the young people when we arrive.

  18. Passports and EHIC Cards • Each staff member will be responsible for their group members passports and EHIC cards from today until we return from the trip. • It is advisable that any medication required or information about the young person you feel is important be shared with the Group Leader. • You now have the opportunity to meet with your group and the leader to do so. They will also provide you with a paper copy of our itinerary, kit list and t-shirt. • Thank you for your attendance.
