KEY DELIVERABLES FOR LUSIP • Development of water delivery infrastructure by 2013 • Construction of a weir, sand trap, canals, reservoir and tertiary distribution system to store and distribute 155million m3 of water • Farm Development by 2013 for Phase I & 2017 for Phase II • A total area of 11 500ha (6500ha for Phase I and 5000ha for Phase II) developed for irrigation in Phase I and commercialization of livestock. • 3. Public Health by 2013 • About 3600 homesteads (2600 for Phase I and 1000 for Phase II) having access to potable water supply and improved sanitation facilities. • 4. Full Environment Compliance During Project Period • Mitigate all negative impacts and enhance positive opportunities
